Whilst Kmart is not a shop you would usually associate with being eco-friendly (They source their cheap clothing from Bangladesh which has a notorious reputation of paying extremely low wages and providing unsafe, hot & humid working conditions for their employees) there are some awesome plastic alternatives that are really affordable. I talk to many families about how they can transition to a more eco-friendly lifestyle, but unfortunately many feel they simply cannot afford the plastic alternatives on offer, so we have rounded up 21 of the best options for your laundry, home storage and kitchen. 1.Laundry
The water hyacinth laundry basket and bamboo hamper are gorgeous, stylish alternatives to plastic baskets and make doing laundry that much more enjoyable. The bamboo dish brushes are an excellent alternative to scourers and cloths and work fabulously at getting off all the dirt & grime. They are also great for cleaning your bathroom! The bamboo dish racks, broom, chopping board and dish rack are also all stylish alternatives to plastic. But out of all the options at Kmart, I am most excited about the bamboo party ware! Disposable, single use cutlery & plates are one of my pet hates, so these alternatives are not only so much better for our planet and our health, but they are also ridiculously cheap. Win!
